Hello everyone,
Today was our final day of the Botswana service trip. We went to Zimbabwe and visited Victoria Falls, another village in Botswana where we met the chief, and celebrated Claire’s birthday (though a day early).
After breakfast, we drove to the border crossing to sign out of Botswana and into Zimbabwe. After we got into Zimbabwe, we drove two hours to Victoria Falls.
Upon arrival, we were all in complete awe of the size and beauty of the falls (not to mention how loud it was). We even saw a double rainbow! It was incredible to see a waterfall so large and powerful. Unfortunately, with that much water we got completely soaked.
After visiting the falls, we stopped for lunch before returning to Botswfana.
Once we returned to Botswana, we stoped by a village. Here, we dropped off some donations and met the chief of the village.
Our day ended with us celebrating Claire’s birthday–she turns 17 tomorrow!
This was an awesome way to end our trip, and we are all so thankful to have been able to go. Tomorrow, we return to Barcelona!
