The Ride to Kasane

Updated: Mar 28

Hello everyone,

Today, we drove to Kasane for the final portion of our trip. On the way, we attempted to stop at some animal farms to see crocodiles or snakes

After breakfast at the hotel, we began our four hour ride in the so-called party bus (we were playing music) to eventually make our way to Kasane.

The drive took around 6 and a half hours before we made it to lunch, and on the way we saw a family of elephants! There were some loners too, but all of us were so excited to see the baby elephant and its parents. In the distance we also saw some giraffes, but they were too far away to get a really good look at. For lunch, we stoped at Nando’s.

Upon arrival at the crocodile farm, we found that no one was around. We were disappointed, but ventured forward and decided to try the snake farm instead. When that fell through as well, we moved on.

We stopped at a supermarket to grab some final supplies for the rest of our trip, and looked around some artisan stalls nearby. They had a lot of really cool art, and several people bought something. After that, we drove to our hotel.

Our hotel is in the middle of a game reserve, and we are all staying in pairs in bungalows. After dinner, we decided to end the night with an awesome karaoke party, featuring songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, You Belong With Me, Fly Me to the Moon and more. We also learned some dances from the hotel staff, as well as Mr. Javi And Ms. Marta.

With an amazing end to the evening, we went to bed to prepare for an early morning safari!
