Excursion to Zimbabwe

Greetings everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. Today has been an extraordinary day filled with exciting adventures and breathtaking sights. Our journey took us to Zimbabwe, where we started our day with a warm and hearty breakfast consisting of eggs, sausage, and minced meat. After breakfast, we headed towards the border, which was chaotic and hot, but we managed to obtain our visas without any problems.

Driving through various national parks, we finally reached our destination - the majestic Victoria Falls. Words cannot describe the sheer beauty of this natural wonder. The falls were roaring with water cascading down from the towering cliffs, creating a magnificent mist that enveloped us. It was a humbling experience to witness the raw power of nature and the beauty that it can create.

Following our visit to the Victoria Falls, we made our way to the Big Tree nearby. This massive baobab tree is estimated to be over 1,000 years old and is a popular tourist attraction. Standing beneath its enormous trunk and admiring its gnarled branches was truly a surreal experience.

After a day of sightseeing, we treated ourselves to some souvenirs and then made our way to a beautiful poolside restaurant. Here, we indulged in some delicious food that was not native to the area but still scrumptious. With our bellies full, we headed back to Botswana without any issues.

In addition to our visit to the Victoria Falls and the Big Tree, we also had the opportunity to visit a crocodile farm. Here, we learned about the life cycle of these fascinating creatures and witnessed some of the most famous crocodiles, including Morebi. Morebi is a renowned crocodile who has defeated many opponents in fights, making him a popular attraction at the farm. It was intriguing to learn about the different species of crocodiles and their habitats, and we left with a newfound appreciation for these remarkable creatures.

Later in the evening, we attended a dinner with the chief of Lesoma. During our discussions, we learned about the town's future goals and ambitions, its history, and its crime and punishment system. It was enlightening to learn about their community and its values.

Reflecting on the day's events, I must say that it was a beautiful day. The Victoria Falls were awe-inspiring, and learning about the medical issues faced by the people of Lesoma, such as malaria and eye problems, was quite educational.

Tomorrow, we are looking forward to a game drive, flying back to Gaborone, and visiting an orphanage. We plan to play sports and engage in art activities with the children. It will undoubtedly be another exciting day filled with meaningful experiences.

I hope you are having a great day, and I look forward to sharing more about our travels tomorrow.
